4:1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; 4:2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 4:5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. You have to get it all in there...hid to them that are lost...preach Christ Jesus the Lord...seeing we have this ministry...come on, don't you see? that through mercy, we renounce the bad and embrace the glory. Further in Paul tells us that we are jars of clay and have a treasure in us (which is the glory of God). That we should let it shine through to reveal God's light to those that are blinded. Simple, right? Huh...do you recall all that trash you talked at work? Some light...how about that confused lady in front of you at the store...made sure she was okay..right? I am speaking of myself right? or am I? Those that are blinded will want to remain blinded if our God really works in those kinds of ways. Would you want to be part of a relationship like that? No neither does the sinner lost in this world. The god of this world? Yeah he stands to lose a lot if that person is touched by the love of God. So, do you love more than he fights? Or do you let someone else have your blessing because you wouldn't be willing to reach out? I have noticed a few readers and I want your thoughts...some insight or follow up maybe?? 4:4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the likeness of God. |
