| JK Testimony...wives be encouraged |

It's all worth it. The prayers and the different ways people get involved to bring one person to Christ are not in vain. I'm going to frame this testimony. For all you wives out there trying to reach your man, check this out: I always believed in God but I never really had Total Faith. When things seemed good, I believed strongly; but when they weren't, I had doubts, questions, and blame for God. This went on for years. My oldest son; Jordan started attending the youth group with his friends Dylan and Matt in February of 2006. Due to his involvement , my wife and youngest son, Jeremy started attending in July 2006. And quickly Lisa started with the Turner's small group (Bible study). I watched the three of them go Sunday after Sunday and Wednesday after Wednesday night. They would share with me and I started feeling left out and empty not being with my family in church. 2007 would have changes for my family that I would not have expected. Jordan was baptized in February. LIsa rededicated and was baptized on Easter Sunday. I attended the baptisms and a couple of Sunday services. Norman's sermons were moving and althoug I did not know it, God was working on me. I started attending small group with Lisa in April. The CPR (Care, Prayer and Relationships) Group opened my eyes and heart more to the Lord. Rennie invited me to Promise Keepers and after many days of uncertainty, I decided to go. On the first night I just knew that's where I was meant to be; I could not fight it any longer. I made the altar call and was saved and accepted Christ into my heart. I called LIsa at 11PM that night to share my experience and I was beaming the rest of the weekend. It is still tough, and I'm constantly adusting my armor but with Jesus, I have the strength to face the storms. I want to thank my wife Lisa and my sons, Jordan and Jeremy for sharing with me and not giving up. I want to thank the CPR Group for becoming my friends and all their prayers---Norman, Rennie, Paul, Holly, Robbie, Tara, Pat, Mark, and Bill. I want to thank the Parkins for inviting Jordan to youth which started this change in my family.I want to thank everyone else that prayed for me. I did not realize that the CPR group and others had been praying for me for an entire year. I want to especially thank, Rennie and Norman for going to the altar with me at Promise Keepers and praying over me.---Jeff Kantner |
