What victories did you establish this past week? Who have you planted a seed of knowledge into recently? How much deeper is your relationship with God today, than two weeks ago? And finally, have you taken the time to listen to the voice of the LORD?
I was reflecting on how to share the key point from Part 1 with others. When the opportunity would present itself, the adversary was there trying to hinder the conversation. Just trying to open the eyes to a hope over this world's views, one man was trying to explain that he's "not religious" and couldn't fit in. I smiled and told him that we aren't religious either, we are living as children of the King.
People have preconceived ideas of "Christianity" based on how we live and how Christians are being portrayed on T.V. as hating everything that is an abomination in a religion. New world order government wants equality for any belief, they can have it, it's in the Constitution, but why portray Christians as haters?
I want to point this out as an example of partially correct information; it may help you when witnessing: Have you ever heard that in Germany you can drive as fast as you want on the Autobahn? Well, I lived in Germany with my family for 3 years in the military and it's not completely true. There are portions of the road you can drive without any limits posted, but for the most part there's respect for others by staying in certain lanes and when get close to towns or cities the speed drops to about what is posted here in the USA. The notion that people get on certain Autobahns and drive with regard is not correct at all.
We can use this example to open some eyes to misguided thinking and when some eyes and minds are opened, then the truth is easier to comprehend and see. I share this for these next verses in Micah 6 I've been posting:
6:6 Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, [and] bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old?
6:7 Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, [or] with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn [for] my transgression, the fruit of my body [for] the sin of my soul?
Whenever we allow the Holy Spirit to reveal new understanding of personal growth in the Word, we sometimes think that we need to make a big production to inform God He taught us something (He already knows). When we realize how wrong we were about something, do we tend to beat ourself up and stay in limbo for a few days or a week and any guilt we have is somehow God's rod of correction beating us? Can we praise God in the correction as much as the understanding? I think we should...
Micah 7:8 -
Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.
Yes, we need to ask forgiveness from a pure heart, but we need to believe and demonstrate our faith right away, too. Don't allow the adversary to keep your head down! Use scripture against him! God has told us what to do!
6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what [is] good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
6:9The LORD'S voice crieth unto the city, and [the man of] wisdom shall see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.
The same way we came to see how we needed forgiveness is very true when leading another to Jesus. Everything the unbeliever sees and hears about "Christianity" is not going to be the truth. Anything from people asking how a loving God can allow bad things to happen to seeing people professing Christ and yet living a pius, religious life with no justice, mercy, or humility; it leaves a hard, soured taste in people's mouth. We, however, can show the Most High God via our testimony and demonstration of His saving grace in the simple things of what the Lord requires.
When this is done then people,(v.9) "...shall see Thy name."
1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith Jehovah: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
The controversy (v.2) between God and man is fully avoided through Jesus Christ. When the presence of God feels as though it is condemning us of our sin, we need to realize it is His plea, His call to us, His beckoning for us to be humble in our heart and receive His free Grace, Love, and Mercy. How many moves has God made towards His creation to come to Him? How many are required by us to fall into His forgiveness?
Micah 6:3 -
O my people, what have I done unto thee? and wherein have I wearied thee? testify against Me.
Let's share who our God really is in our LIVING testimony with family and friends.
Thank you Jesus, the name above all names! The Alpha and Omega! You reign forever! Give us Your wisdom in our sowing the seed to others.
Love of Christ,
Pastor Dave
