Please keep Dave Hamm in your prayers

Dave is having surgery on Wed to deal with a lingering infection.  It's causing great pain and discomfort now, and the operation should relieve him of that.  Please keep him in your prayers - that his surgery goes well and cures his infection, and that he remains in good spirits. 

I spoke to Dave on the phone today.  Despite the physical pain, he was in his usual good mood and showed more concern about Vicki than himself.  I'm not sure if that was selflessness or Dave just downplaying his own ailment ;)

Dave should be offline for the next several days or so (and if he is online, tell him to stop disobeying his nurse's orders!).  Thanks to Sue for alerting us, as well as taking on double-duty for Dave!

That's Dave for ya.  It's never about him, I just love his heart.

Joe, any idea where he is having the surgery and is he going to be staying in the hospital? Does anybody have any contact with his wife?

Voice,  I talked to Theresa the other day and she said she was going to let me know how he makes out.  I will just wait for her call.  I will post an update when I hear something.  I also posted a bulletin on the C3 page.

Over IM this morning.. Dave was in his usual good spirits (surgery is scheduled for mid-afternoon, EST).  He's in a lot of discomfort but can't help but be encouraging and asking about others.  This is from Dave (IM-ing from his cell phone)

Another update - surgery went well apparently, but he is in a lot of pain right now, and the pain medication isn't working very well.  Pray that this next batch of pain meds "will knock him out" as his wife described :)

I spoke with Dave today and he said he would probably be in bed for another two weeks. He said he may have to have surgery again next week, and he will have to remain in bed at least until then. He can take phone calls in between nurses coming to care for him. He can also receive e-mails from his cell phone. He just can't pull up websites, like this one. 

Please pray for his speedy recovery as he really misses MyChurch and oh how we miss him!
