6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where [is] the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk [therein]. Temptation is a choice between God's will for us -- the old path
-- and a shortcut provided by Satan -- the new path. So often,
Satan's path is presented to us as a shortcut to happiness,
prosperity, and accomplishment. However, this path leads us away
from God and the blessings he longs to give us. Let's not be like
the people of God in Jeremiah's day who refused God's way and said,
"We will not walk in it." The outcome of their choice was their own
destruction.
O dear Father, Almighty God, forgive me for turning from your
path and seeking a way that seems easier and a path that appears to
lead to happiness more quickly. Through your Holy Spirit, help me
look through the facades of Satan's temptations and see their
bitter end. I know your way is the way of joy, peace, and rest.
Please give me courage to walk it confidently. In Jesus' name I
pray. Amen.

Amen,... the devil loves to present shortcuts... I have witnessed to two people in recent months involved in lesbianism. One a relative of mine. I explained, that... I understand that you feel that you feel love from someone of the same sex,... but I have talked to and read testimonies of those who came out of this lifestyle who claim they were NEVER completed satisfied. I then say, It is because it is an ALTERNATE LIFESTYLE!... It's not the Desired plan of God. He never intended for us to have to accept ALTERNATES. In concert with what you are saying,Donna,... it's another shortcut, in a way. As we get deeper into it, I get to the fact that it is sin, but I like to show them how they have been decieved... deprived of that which was PERFECT once. Amen. There are no short cuts to the narrow gate,... yet so many to get to the wide gate.
