Bishop Tudor Bismarck was visiting our church last Sunday.  He was talking about how important it is to prophecy over our children.  Decree and declare God's promises over our children and grandchildren.  We must intercede on their behalf.  I know what this world looks like today but I don't have to let Satan have them.

What a wonderful post; a much needed message. I hope this one gets read often for the message is important and our children are precious to us all. We must tell our children of Jesus' love, and ours for them.

Thank you, this is wonderful.

God blessed me with Rheumatoid Arthritis.  I have been home for the past four years... while Sydney was in High School.  We went through some really rough years together, and came to her Senior year... bonded.

Everything listed in your blog   ((( everything )))  is vital.

More than 75% of her friends don't have God in their lives... and are from broken homes.  She brings them home to meet me.  Four of them graduated from High School already living on their own, after their parents kicked them out.

We need to be praying for these our children, and these children and their parents.

God needs us to be warriors for them.

Reconnecting with my kids works best if I just stop what I'm doing and spend time with them and focusing on what they are doing, regardless of what it is, even if I don't like what they are doing.  ALL relationships begin with someone giving dedicated, uninterupted attention.  Over time as the relationship (re)builds, my kids are far more responsive to efforts to pull their attention away from destructive habits to more productive ones (like prayer).

Come to think of it, that's how I reconnect with God when I start feeling out of synch with Him.
