| Summer's almost over |

When I was a kid and even as an adult when I was a builder I couldn't wait for summer and hated it when in came to an end. Even as associate Pastor at my last church I loved summer being the "slow" time in the life of the church. Now I find myself looking forward to summers end and I can't believe I feel that way. For some reason this year more than any other time I can't wait until all the family returns home for the summer outings, vacations, etc. and we reconnect.
I'm really looking forward to the volunteer picnic this week thinking it will be the start of the getting back together as well as getting some of the kids back for last years water battle. I know they think they'll get me in the pool this year and they have a plan but so do I.
Here's to the end of summer no matter how you may feel about it and I pray that this fall your heavenly father blesses you and your relationships beyond what you imagine. |
