I often find commentaries to be VERY helpful. And that's one of my memory verses, Preston. Good blog!

I tell you Mike, when I read todays' verse, I saw the ball come out of The Pitchers Hand and I knew this Proverb was the right bat for a Home Run!... hehe. Love ya, Man.

Carolyn Ward, my new friend. A face and name I will not forget,... ever. Already, I have been blessed by our bond. Now I have read a lot of disheartening things the last few days on the issue you refer to and here is the very first comment that I feel lines up with Gods' view of how we are to look at things like this. What you've said is no more than the expression of a heart for God and a likeness of His compassion. It is refreshing to hear, even though it means a great sorrow or burden. That's the price for love and I join you in your prayer. Thank you for commenting. I love you.

Oh my, Preston...  it is right.  They don't get it.  I have a journal going "Thoughts, Memories... Prayers"... and one of the entires I made was...

They twist and turn the meaning of scripture and make it vile.  Love is the only way for change.

I like what you say; I love what Matthew Henry spells out. We have been studying Galatians in SS and chapter 5 fits right in with 1Cor 2:14.

Joey, I don't talk enough about journaling here, even though I have been keeping one since 96. "So many things can cloud our memory of what God has done,... special moments, achievements, answered prayer, dates when family and friends were saved (very important) Amen?

And yes, we do, all of us push some precepts of God more at times with motives that were NOT Gods' motive. Because we are in the flesh when we do this we don't feel anyone will pick up on it. Had we been in The Spirit Of God we would have: 1. Spoke the "right" Word; 2. Aware that God just heard us; and 3. Known that anyone who was in The Spirit could see our motive. It's sad, and reflects a need for friends to pray, forgive, and allow Gods Word to manifest. Thanks for GREAT comments. Wuv u

15. Eager readiness to believe what others say, has ever proved mischievous. The whole world was thus ruined at first.

Adam as the example here, reminds me that I have eagerly been lured into some trap devised by satan.

I always get something from your teachings here. love you brother!!!!

33:4 For the word of the LORD [is] right; and all his works [are done] in truth.

Juanita and Herman, thank you both for your comments. I can reply to both in this thought. The Word is Christ Jesus,... Jesus is The Cornerstone,... we do not have to throw the Word at anyone like it was a rock,... it doesn't move,... The Cornerstone is the foundation stone and anything that is NOT the truth will be smashed and broken against it. Amen.
