| Exciting up-comings... |

For those of you who don't know--which upon reflection, could be a fair few-- I have decided to be baptized "again"... I say "again" because I was sprinkled at the age of three. As a middle school student, I went through confirmation class and took my first communion on the Sunday we had the confirmation service. I look at that time as my public declaration of my belief in Christ as my savior.
Over the past few months, I've caught a few sermons (on the radio, mostly) talking about the purpose of baptism and God's charge to new believers. While I have been a believer for years, I've decided that a "conscious" baptism would be a good way to reconfirm my faith publicly.
I have talked with Pastor Mike and a few other leaders in the church. They all expressed that baptism is a wonderful way to worship our Holy Trinity, proclaiming my intent to follow in the footsteps of Christ. Baptism has been compared to marriage vows; an experience that can be meaningfully repeated, but does not necessarily need to occur annually. I am confident that my heavenly Father will value this recommitment and I am excited to share my baptism with you, my church family.
