| The Father Has Fun Giving You His Kingdom |
|
| |
12:32 "Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. It is fun to give to your children, isn't it? It is delightful to see their joy when we bless them. Now that is how our Heavenly Father feels about giving to us. But what does He want to give us? Many loudly declare money and stuff! Wrong. You can't love God and money. The love of money is the root of all evil. Why would God want to load us down with something that competes with our love for Him and provokes us to evil if we love it? No. God doesn't want to spoil us like rich kids. However, he does want to supply our material needs. However, God really gets into to giving us the kingdom. What's that? Jesus continually refers to "the kingdom of God." A kingdom is where a king rules and reigns. Okay then. What does God take pleasure in giving us? His rulership! He delights to rule over us. The greatest gift for an airplane is a pilot. If it is to function according to its design, a car desperately needs the gift of a driver. You and I have an urgent need. We need a Lord, an absolute ruler and master. Self wants to be our Lord. Sin wants to rule us. Demons want to drive us. In the midst of all the enemies that want to destroy us, the King says "I enjoy giving you the kingdom -- my rule." Why? Like an airplane or a car, we can never achiever our purpose or potential without a driver. Only one person in the Universe can properly drive us. That is God. He wants to give us the kingdom so that He can direct us to an amazing life of love, worship, and sacrifice both here and here after. Will you let God have fun? Will you humbly repent of going against His will and allow Him to be your Lord -- your absolute Master? The kingdom of God is at hand. Will you enter in? |

| Jesus indeed wants to be not only Saviour...but also Lord of our lives....He wants to rule and super-rule over ALL that we say and do.....Not only that, but the entire bible speaks of His coming Kingdom....right here on this earth in Jerusalem to rule forever, and ever throughout eternity...That's what I'm looking forward too....Righteousness....Peace...and Joy in the Holy Ghost...and living under the Divine Rulership of Jesus Christ our Lord....The King of kings...and the Lord of lords....and of His Kingdom there shall be no end ;o) |

[star!] | Part of the fun of giving is to see the receiver's eyes light up with joy and hear a heartfelt, "Thank you!" :) It's too easy to take God's gifts for granted -- but when we start to notice the multitude of ways He blesses us it is overwhelming! Which, of course, leads to more expressions of gratitude -- which just seems to delight God's heart so much that He blesses us even more! |

It is His good pleasure to give us His kingdom, never heard it put this way, His Rule over us. Amen. Not because He's egotistical, but He created us. Plain and simple. He deserves the reverence of the king He is!! |

[star!] | Steve, if i wasn't convinced before, i am convinced now, that did it, if i haven't already surrendered everything to Him, i give it all to Him right now or as my granny used to say r-a-t now, thanks Steve this is awesome, and helps those of us who have surrendered and desires for God to be happy to know and remember that surrenderence to God and God alone is the best thing we could ever do with our lives. |

[star!] | I like that song by Mercy Me,"Take this World from Me".....the rest of that lyric says "I don't need it anymore!" Also, it is fitting what 3rd Day sang about the words of the Apostle Paul, "Nothing compares to Knowing Jesus Christ, our Lord! A Big Amen, and Amen. |

| Brother Steve, Jesus wants it all or nothing at all. Here's a little chorus, we use to sing a lot. "Jesus be the Lord of all, Jesus be the Lord of all, all the contents of my heart, for it Jesus ain't the Lord of all then Jesus ain't Lord at all". Excuse my southern english. |
