| No Grudge? Come On, Ya Gotta Be Kiddin' |
|
| |
19:18 You shall not take vengeance or bear any grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD. No grudge? Don't take vengeance? Love?
Guess Who's Talkin'.
This is not human advice. People don't act that away.
We like a "grudge match." We like to "get even" and "to settle the score." Love just gets in our way.
Can it be that perhaps God has a better idea? Our human way hasn't worked. Look at the competition, hatred, violence, and war in our society tryin' to sqeeze the love right out of us. Maybe we should try God's way.
Forgive. Love our enemies. Bless those who curse us. Lay down our lives for others. Turn the other cheek. Renounce violence and war. Give God's peace a chance.

[star!] | Yes indeed great advice, and who is the Author of such advice. Jesus!! One of my Pastors use to say, Say it loud and say it proud. After all it is all about Him. There have been times { sometimes daily } I'm reminded by a still small voice, don't return, evil with evil. Amen, Thank you Jesus. God bless you Steve. |

[star!] | Only through His Spirit living in us, and not our own efforts in the flesh. Only way we can do all this. The Spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. amen. |

| Lara: The Spirit will help us obey if we want to obey. If we don't want to obey, He won't make us. |

[star!] | As we learn to obey and love instead, it gets easier and easier to do it. If we don't we end up repenting anyway, so take the higher road and just do it right the first time hilariously happy that we are partnering with Him. lol
I get the giggles thinking that the person who is rude to me doesn't know what to make of my loving response. Giggling because I have conquered my flesh one more time. The test is passed and I get an A in heaven. lol
And, who knows we won't win them over with our love to join us on the giggle team, serving a Risen Lord. |
