The "Baton" Of Life
It's a Spiritual race full of bitterness, envy, hatred and strife
Mortal human beings on this planet thinking they can outrun the enemy of life

As we all journey through this earth
We cannot help but acknowledge that we are ALL made of a high percentage of "filthy dirt"

Mankind in his frail human ability
Born in sin, shaped in iniquity  and sensuality
Lacking much humility

Trying to become one with his Creator 
In his own mindset and lack of a "Spiritual Educator"

Forging his way to win the race up ahead
He comes to a standstill when his head hits the bed

The "Baton" then is passed from him to the one still awake
Could be his children or grandchildren who takes his place in this human race

The  road up ahead looks so far away till the "human" end
In one blink of an eye we leave this planet and this mortal body of "filthy dirt" will descend
The soul of humanity will then transcend

Judgement day comes and whether we finish the race
Will determine our heavenly place

The "Baton" mankind passes from me to you and you to me
Could be one or several kinds of disease

It could be generation curses that will plague your life span
Makes you wonder "where in hell did this one come from"?
Causes you to understand there is another race in a different world that is being run

Could it be those demons in hell calling you from that other world? 
 My friend, I hope you said NO!
I pray that you do not pass along the "Baton" of drugs, alcohol, and "woes".

To finish this race you must  pass along the "Baton" of "Faith"
Or are you saying you messed up and it's too late?  
I suggest you pass the "Baton" to Jesus Christ He will help you finish this race
He is never too early and He is never too late.

He is always on time
He gave you the rules to finish this race,  precept by precept, line by line 

All you need to do is take up the "Baton" and run, run, run
I hope you finish this race and I get to see you in heaven
 Where as heavenly angels we will meet up with Jesus Christ the Son

Father, I thank you for the help you have already sent
My friend is still wondering when, Lord, when? 
Open blind eyes see the wasted tears, Your Talents are not being spent
 I give the "Baton" to You Lord, lift the heavy burdens off shoulders "hell bent".
