Ever have anybody tell you, "Hurry up, the whole world's waitin' on you"?
"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is as a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some consider slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance" (II Peter 3:8-9).
"I urge you then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for everyone--for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth" (I Timothy 2:1-4).
"I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: 'The deliverer will come from Zion; He will turn godlessness away from Jacob. And this is My covenant with them when I take away their sins'" (Romans 11:25-27).
Jesus said, "But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself" (John 12:32).
Do you know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? If not, literally, "the whole world's waitin' on you."
"So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to [the day of God], make every effort to be found blameless and at peace with Him. Bear in mind that our Lord's patience means salvation . . . Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by error of lawless men and fall from your secure position. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever! Amen" (II Peter 3:14-18)
3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
