| Believing Is Hard Work But It Is God's Work |

I think of Mike's rivetting blog. God is big enough to hold all our honesty. All the greats of God have had their days...According to Jesus believing itself is hard work, but this is the work of God. Believing can be hard work especially in these days when there are so many charlotans, dissapoinments, and trials/tribulations. Notice that Jesus says that believing is God's work. Our works are the fruit of our Faith but believing is not only God's work, it can be hard work. Our work as Christians is in producing believers in Christ. This can be hard when there are conflicts on the outside and fears from within. But this is God's primary work orders. Peter Bohler one of the Moravians on a ship on a stormy sea asked John Wesley one day if he belived. John circumvented the question by saying he knew that Jesus was the son of God, but believing is more than intellectual affirmation. The Devil knows too, but is he a believer? A believer is known by the fruit he or she produces. A good tree cannot bring forth bad Fruit: Never can a stream bring forth sweet and bitter. Making disciples is making believers. It may not seem worth our time at times and we do grow weary when even in the church people cannot seem to accept and get along, but this is our work given to us by the one who had the same job. And his name is Jesus...Love to ye all.! Pastor Chuck6:29 Jesus answered them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent." |
