| "No, Lord," Is A Contrdiction |
|
| |
6:46 "Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do what I tell you? Questions are powerful. They often time expose truth. So what's up with so many of us calling Jesus "Lord" while we disobey Him?
In reality that is a contradiction. "Lord" means aboslute master. If someone is your absolute master then you are compelled to do what He says. If you neglect to do what he says, then he isn't your absolute master.
Saying "No, Lord," is like saying "Yes, no." It makes no sense.
So why don't we quit trying to make people think that Jesus is our Lord and instead focus on obeying Him and obeying what He has said in His word? Until we learn to follow Mary's instruction about Jesus: "Whatever He says to you, do it," we will only be blowing smoke by calling Him Lord.

[star!] | Steve, I just got through adding a comment to another blog, which I will copy here if I may. To all concerned.
We ALL have to follow laws, whether it be the laws of the land or Spiritual laws. If we do not follows laws we will have a "vagrant lawless society "in earth as well as in heaven. Jesus Christ did not just come to earth and spill His Pure blood for us humans to continue living in sin. He said follow Him. That is His law. He said if we do not live a certain way, we cannot get into the Kingdom of heaven. The Word says the wages of sin is death. So we have a choice in what we believe and what we will act on.. There are no grey areas in the commands of Jesus. His command is His LAW. He said ask Father in heaven for forgiveness because He knows what you are capable of. He said to forgive everyone who offends you because if you do not forgive others your heavenly Father will not forgive you. He said bless those who curse you and love those who hate you because if you do not love you will not be called a child of G-d and so on. See what I mean? You act on His Law/commands you get blessed. You do not act on His commands you do not get blessed. Those are just a few examples of His "Royal Law". There is no free ticket into the Kingdom my friends. Faith without works is no faith. My point is that NO ONE can fullfill His "Royal Laws", unless they are filled with His Holy Spirit. Everyone in the Old Testament failed to keep the laws, because they did not have the help of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit should be the focal point in every blog because without His help NOTHING can be done. He is the one who keeps the children of G-d living righteously. Perhaps the question to ask everyone is (are you filled with the Holy Spirit?) then we can speak about the Scriptures. Why do I say this? Because many are not born-again and filled with the Holy Spirit and therefore, Spiritual things are Spiritually discerned and those who are not filled with the Holy Spirit will not understand the Holy Scriptures and will not be able to live accordingly.
Shalom to all my friends Sister Marcia . |

| Wasn't there a nike commerical that says, just do it? Christians just need to do it, that's read the Bible and pray and fellowship with other like minded believers. |
