Luke 6:46 "Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do what I tell you? That is a good question. Why do you call him Lord? Is he really your Lord? Then why do you have a problem doing what he tells you to do. Are you waiting to see the handwriting on the wall or for God to spell it out to you in a bowl of alphabet soup? Let's just say for the sake of argument that we leave out the law of Moses and focus just on the words that Jesus spoke. He said in the book of John that if we love him we will keep his commandments. He also said a new commandment I give you that you love one another as I have loved you. So are we loving one another as Jesus has loved us? I DON'T THINK SO!
If you mess up on that one commandment (as God is love) then we are completely off base. Do you love me? I'll see how much you do by the responses I get. That will be the evidence of how much you really love me because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks or the fingers type. I don't have to be a mind reader to know what is in your heart. All I have to do is listen to what you say or read what you type.
Are you doing what Jesus is telling you to do or are you criticizing everyone else that does? Some people won't even go to church at all yet they have issues about this minister and that minister and about so and so and this and that. They may even have a great understanding of the word but that isn't even good enough to keep them from being so angry. Get rid of that chip off of your shoulder and humble yourself and stop mumbling and grumbling about everyone else, YOU are the problem!
You don't do what Jesus is telling you to do but you want to tell everyone else how to do it. All of the education in the world won't help you if you are not willing to obey God. You can write long comments and use 100 scriptures to try to prove your point but disobedience is S-I-N. Let me spell it out to you this way, R-E-P-E-N-T.
How do you like me now? Do you still love me or are you getting hot under the collar? Don't try to impress me by telling me you love me when your heart isn't right. God knows who is who and so does the devil. You either belong to one or you belong to the other. If you are in the flesh guess who you are serving? If you are in the Spirit there has to be some evidence. Don't tell me what kind of frruit you have, let me see it for myself. A tree is known by its fruit. You can also tell a tree by its leaves and its bark. Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree, lol!
What is it going to take for you to do what Jesus is telling you to do? You don't have to go far to find out. You can start in Matthew and finish in Revelation and it will be the same message that God has been saying since the beginning; "Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do what I tell you? |

People say "Lord, Lord" because they treat God as a devine vending machine in search of things they want. We all do this at one time or another.
People say "Lord, Lord" because they want to feel secure in being on the winning team, but they have no real desire to have an actual relationship with Him. Because there's no desire for a relationship, there is no desire to please and thus no drive to "do". When we get this way, we do not...we cannot reflect the love of God to others around us, so we cannot understand why people are unwilling to hear our message.
People say "Lord, Lord" because they finally give up trying to have things their way, and they are finally willing to allow God into the dark regions of their soul beyond the little white box on the surface we normally reserve for Him.

Prophet Jay, do you remember long ago we were talking about my anger issues, and you were trying to get it through my thick skull about how JESUS IN US lives through us, b/c we can't be "good". He does it. We just gotta seek Him and yield to Him so He takes over our lives and lives HIS life through us. Well, the "grace" teaching I'm learning finally, that God brought to my attention, is saying "Grace is nt an excuse to sin, but makes it so there's NO excuse to sin". Now how can anyone argue with that? Can I love you out of my flesh? NO. Can Jesus in me love you? Absolutely! Can I love my enemies? No. Can Jesus in me? YES! Can I forgive? No. Can Jesus in me forgive? Yes! A few months back I, for many many times, asked the Lord WHY I wasn't living the John 10:10 life. Why the Christian walk was harder than anything else. Why Jesus said His yoke was easy, His burden light, and yet I'm like "whatta???" To me the yoke was choking me. So anyways, God really opened my eyes. I mean, I knew Christ in me was the only way I could walk in righteousness (in actions), but I still hadn't had a real revelation of it. Now, praise God, I'm getting it! After 5 cruddy, dry and horrid years, I'm getting it! That's why my first year was so wonderful as a believer---NOT b/c I was a baby in Christ, but b/c like the Word says, as I received Him, so walk. In other words, by faith I received Him, and by faith I must walk knowing that Christ in me makes me holy, righteous and worthy before the Lord. I mean, if you start to realize that, you can't act like a pagan when you're feeling righteous. But if I'm always like "I'm a big fat sinner and I always fail", then guess what? How can Jesus work with that? So as a man thinks, so is he. |

Here is another good question: Has talking about it and not doing anything about it - starting with "self" - done any good?
And the Answer is: NO!!! Its just blowing hot air!
The hand-writing is already on the wall. But most "Christians" don't want to see it - or, they see it and then look for solutions in other places, except where they need to be looking - at, and inside, themselves. And to make matters worse - like the spoiled children of God most are, they have resisted being told - even by The Word - how they have need to stand in front of the mirror and SEE.
What a sad, sad condition - all in God's house!
1 Peter 4:17&18.

| I deal with this on a dayly basis w/ my husband he has a hard time w/ walking it and living it . he once made the comment that it just comes easy for like machanics is easy for him and difficult for me and i replied that is only because you had an interest in mechanics where as I have none I deeply care what pleases my heavenly father the closer I get to him the more I desire to do what is pleasing to him where as you show no interest in the things of god so you don't learn what is pleasing to god as the saying goes ignorance is bliss, but what they fail to realize it still leads to distruction which is real ignorance if you choose distruction over a peace filled joy filled love filled life of the things that please god |
