7:13Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 7:14Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Probably the most dangerous intersection in all the major highways can be located between a street called Strait and the Broad way. These are some very important words that came from the lips of a man called Jesus. See everybody traveling either the way that is strait or the broad way. We chose the roads, that we will travel and the price to be paid to travel them. The way that's strait has a narrow gate, the entrance is through a man called Jesus. Many would like to travel this way, but they consider the cost to be to great. The way that's called broad will accommodate any and every kind of filthy live-styles. The broad way is mostly Satan's scenic highway, the road that most of the rich and famous travel. Actually the broad way is a road to no where, that is a place, where one would truly not want to go (Hell).
13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. Who's responsibility is it, to get you in at the gate called strait? Jesus says, many will seek to enter in but shall not be able. What's the deal with wanting to enter and not being able to enter in? Here there's more to going to heaven than being born in to a wealthy family, or a religious family. Entering in requires a new birth, what was best known as being born again. Entering in requires having Jesus Christ to be the Lord of your life. The strait way is for those to desire to be the bride of Christ. The broad way leads to destruction, which is outer darkness. This is a place, where there is the absence of Almighty God. For God can't be found traveling the broad way, one will have to take a detour off the broad way to find God. The story of the rich young ruler and his discussion with Jesus about how that he might know, if he's traveling the road called strait. Jesus pointed that traveling this strait road, one would have to keep the commandments. The young ruler quickly admits that from an early age, he was a keeper of the commandments. Jesus says there is still yet one thing, that thou lackest to travel this way called strait. Jesus tells this young man to give up his riches and to follow him. Jesus opened up the way for this young man to travel the way that was strait. Instead of jumping on the bandwagon, he goes away sad. For his great riches had him, and back to the broad way he returned. You and I are standing at the corner of the broad way and a place called strait. You and I will decide which road we will take? Those that travel the strait way, we hear Jesus say, enter in. Those that travel the broad way will hear, depart from me, for I never knew you. |
