20:2 "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Hey, guys! Its me! "I am," remember what Moses told you about the voice from the fired up bush!
"The Lord," that's right guys. I am your Absolute Master. Following me is not a yes or no propisition. If you don't continually say yes to me in words, thoughts, and deeds, then you are rejecting my Lordship.
"Your God," the only God. And I have chosen to communicate with you personally. Listen up. I mean really pay attention to me. It is no fun being ignored by you.
"Who brough you out," that means delievered and set you free. Any freedom, wisdom, maturity, delieverance that you have in your life have come from me.
"Of the land of Egypt," you are not of this world anymore. So quit being worldly. Stop your sinning!
"Out of the house of bondage," sounds like a jail house, doesn't it? The door to your cell is wide open. Will you continue to languish and complain in your cell? Or will you walk out the open door that I have given you and be the holy man or woman I am calling you to be?
