| Hunger For God! |
|
| |
I love the psalmist: so candid, honest, unafraid to say what is on his heart...Oh that all had a hunger for God which is greater than the hunger to filll their life with material desires. We can't change people or make them into what they ought to be but we can pray for them: that God can create in them the spiritual hunger which leads to Salvation. Over 32 years in Ministry I have never seen anyone carry any thing out of this world with them...A rich man once died and someone asked me as the pastor, what did he leave behind? My response was..."Everything!" To hunger and seek the KOG is our most notable goal of all..When all else is gone we stand before the Judment Bar with only what we are and have done for God and others in His name. I have never been able to make people come to church, pray, or give...Everyone is accountable for their own spirituality and the Grace of God give us chance after chance to get it right. Amen! Love you all! Pastor Chuck.63:1 A Psalm of David, when he was in the Wilderness of Judah. O God, thou art my God, I seek thee, my soul thirsts for thee; my flesh faints for thee, as in a dry and weary land where no water is. |

[star!] | Yes Pastor Chuck, I guess if I could drag my family down the isle to accept Christ, I'd do it. Sadly like you said, they have to do it on their own. |

[star!] | Have you ever prayed that God would give you a heart like King David? I have. And I ended up, yes, very close to Him and hungering for His presence, but also weepy. My heart was super tender. And with that, you must guard it extra much. I admit I should pray this yet again, b/c I hardly cry at all, and that's really not a good thing. A soft heart...a heart after God's is what He loves. Humilty. |

[star!] | Wonderful Blog PC and full of wisdom and the agape love of God... BTW: Never saw a U-Haul following a funeral posession... We can love and invite but God must reveal and draw... Amen!
2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Blessings In Him... :o) Herman |
