| Have You Shared Lately? |

When was the last time you shared anything? When was the last time you gave your last to someone?
Upon reflecting on today's message, I began to realize just how much was given for me to have an opportunity to be a part of God's family. Don't be mistaken. I have always known that God gave his only son, and that Christ gave his life so that I could have life and that more abundantly, but today it was so much clearer. I could see that God not only sacrificed and that Christ not on gave unselfishly, but that I don't honor that.
Once I realized just how selfish I have been, I couldn't help but to reflect on how self absorbed I've been. When was the last time I stopped to pass a tract? Or what was the last time I dropped by to share a Word with someone? When was the last time I yielded to the Spirit and just did as I was told? I can't remember. I do remember taking the time to think about what it is that I need, want, and don't have. Not taking the opportunities I have been given to just share a little of what has been given to me.
While taking inventory, I realized that there is so much to share: time, talents, gift and energy, but when am I going to take the time to share it. What better time than now?
Maybe you have been like me, so absorbed with your own life that you forgot about the thousands and millions of others that you past everyday. Some of us deal with people on a daily basis, but do we take the time to share the greatest gift we were given, eternal life? Christ gave us the opportunity to, not only, be saved but to share the opportunity with others. He commanded in Matthew 28: 19, 20: 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen. Now that we have received the gift of life, why don't we share what we have been given? We can start right now.
If you were to die today, are you sure, 100% sure that you will go to heaven? If not, you can be sure. The Bible says in 1 John 5:13: 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. The key word in this text is believe. You must believe, rely, and depend that Christ will save you. If you want him to. Do you want Christ to save you today? If so, read Romans 10: 9-13 : 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Pray this prayer with me,
Jesus, I believe that you are the son of God, and that you died on Calvary's cross, shedding your blood to save me from my sins. I ask to come in to my heart, cleanse me from my sins, and take me to heaven when I die. Jesus, I thank you for saving me. In your name I pray. Amen.
Now, I pray that you will find a Bible believing, teaching and living Church and that you begin to read your Bible, Pray and Study the Word daily. And since I can think of no better Church than my own, I invite you to join us at Transformation Christian Center in Rolesville, North Carolina where our Pastor is the Rev. Timothy Johnson. We pray that the Lord will lead in the right direction, and we hope that your life has been transformed by the Word you have received today. God Bless!
To my Brothers and Sisters that already are sure, I pray that you begin to share the Word that Christ has given with others. Remember, we are the only Christ that some people will ever see. Be a good ambassador and spread the Gospel of Jesus the Christ. Have you shared Christ today? |
