This is right on the money Steve....(Smile)....So many times prosperity preachers try to use this verse to manipulate people into *sowing* into their pockets...telling folks they shall be blessed financially by giving money....Look I done been there...done that....Gave thousands of dollars into ministries and still struggled....But then the Spirit of God enlightened ME.....This thing ain't about name it and claim it....Blab it and grab me...to reap a havest..This thing is about *righteousness*.....Right-living pays off.....Seek first the kingdom of God, and *His* righteousness...THEN everthing else will be added to us....And I am a living witness that Gods way works.  I also enjoyed the article  ;o)

Amen. We will reap peace if we sow peace.

MarJay, I gave too and used to fear when I couldn't give. Not anymore. I believe in giving but I agree with you and Steve...God's righteous way is what I want to be like.

Brother Steve, here's some good advice from a dear Brother that's with our Lord. Brother Coley Turner use to say, you can't live wrong and die right.  Short story, a rich man was dying and called for his personal lawyer and doctor to come to his bedside. Instructions were left to family members to have the lawyer stand on one side and the ole Doc to stand on the other of the bed. These men felt proud and honored that this rich man thought enough to have them there at his passing over. A note was handed to the lawyer after the Doc had pronounced the rich man deceased. In the note written from the rich man own handing writing was a thank you to these men for coming, allowing him to die like his Lord Jesus between two theives.

Right living (rightousness) pays off.  We reap what we sow.  Sowing and reaping isn't really about money.  It is about our lifestyle, our attitude, our thoughts.  The way we live will produce results in our lives:  bad living equals bad results; good living produces good results.  So simple

Steve, I lifted this b/c it was so good and simple...it was worth saying again!
