Don't see a calendar for my particular church???

If your church is not upgraded or if there are no events posted, you will not see a link to the calendar on your church's About page.

Upgraded churches will see the Calendar tab early next week.

I KNOW I WANT THE MEMOS!!!!!

What about the status update (aka memo's) being brought back?  You did say you'd consider it in your last 'what we're doing' update.  Have you considered it and decided not to? Feedback please.

Susie.  Quote from Mychurch Team above: If your church is not upgraded or if there are no events posted, you will not see a link to the calendar on your church's About page.  Upgraded churches will see the Calendar tab early next week.  To my undertanding, if if your church is not upgraded, it won't appear.

As for birthdays of Friends?  " it was clearly unananimous that seeing birthdays of your friends is an important part of your homepage.

But it still doesn't answer the question of memo's.  Will they be brought back?  Yes or No?

Where is the church calendar now

Bummer!  When did you remove the calendar from the free version?  Went to update ours today, and it wasn't there...looks like it's only in the paid upgrade now :(  Just wondering if there was an announcement that I missed on this.

Besides responding to this, I've sent an email asking about status update (are they going to bring it back, or not?).  A simple yes or no will suffice.  Waiting for a reply.  But there again, it could be hit and miss as to the reply.  But if I upgraded my account, there would be a guarantee of a reply.  And for the record.  If it wasn't for the amount of people who take time-out to post blogs free of charge and or to, to connect with people, where would MC be?  After all, churches are recognised, but where are the people that previously stood at around 300,000?  That statistic (or count) seems to have been totally wiped off the map.  After all again, the church is not a building; its the people in it.  So where are they?  Sorry folks, but people like myself have been campaigning about this, and people have left because of the changes (one of which I was talking to yesterday).  In short they said, why did MC try and fix something that wasn't broke?  And if people really think about it, I'm assuming this latest update from the MC Team has been put on every person's blog page (like it was with mine) but very few have responded to it.  Is that an indecation that people don't care about what happens here?  Just a thought.

I like most of the changes, but removing the calendar from basic? If I have to pay $25 a month to upgrade, I may as well create my own web page, but I like the mychurch community.

$25.00 a month roughly equates to one packet of cigarettes a week Pastor L.  And here's another suggestion.  If there are any Pastors that are leaders of churches here, get the whole congregation involved (and yes I said involved) on MC (invite them to join and be a part of) and it would be even less.  Now wouldn't that be a bright idea if a whole church got involved, not just the Pastor?  After all, what are we promoting?  A Church, or the people in it?

Hmmm, get us used to using certain features for free, then take them away and ask us $25/month to keep them.  Our church barely gets by financially as it is and we have been trying to use this as a tool for growth.  Looks like we'll have to find another avenue now.

Laurie and Tim, we apologize for the inconvenience. But yes - we did give about a month heads-up on the Post Event page.

Stevie Bee - yes, our blog does appear on everyone's homepage (unless they unsubscribed from us). Given that, you can look at our blog to see how many readers we have. As of now, there are 301661 which is pretty close to the total number of registered users on the site. This number does not count users from the Facebook app however - since they aren't subscribed to our blog.

The word "subscribed" has come up again.  Taing away "readers" - are you talking about tithers who financially subscribe (example: churches) or people?  And the only reason that I use Mychurch was because it was NOT like Facebook.  And if they are truly 301,661 people on MC - then show it like it was before when people logged in - or logged on, because that's what attracted me to MC.  As for churches?  They can be financially involved, but otherwise not involved.  Get my drift?
