It is with greatest awe that I kneel before my King, every time I contemplate that He, the One who created everything out of nothing, the One who made colors and mathematics and language, The One who spun the universe into order and devised the intricacies of the human body, the One who speaks and His words become truth--YHWH, God Omnipotent, loves me. And for all that He is and all that He does, all He wants from me is my love in return. Why would He care if I love Him? Why should He look forward to communing with me every day? Why would He desire eternity with me? He gave everything--He gave His mortal life--for those that He created. And when The Son hung on the cross, for the first time in eternity, He was separated from The Father, completely alone, so I would never have to be alone. He says, "Because [she] cleaves to me in love (not fear nor obligation), I will deliver [her]; I will protect [her], because [she] knows my name" (Psalms 91:14). Awesome. Marvelous. Too wonderful for words. Thank You, Lord.
