3:1 See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
What an honor -- to be called children of God. And those are not just words. The Bible says "and so we are."
The world, however, doesn't know us or recognize our high calling as children of God. But that's okay. They didn't recognize Him either.
So when we feel unloved here on earth, unapprecaited on our job, unaccepted by society -- that's the way it is supposed to be according to Scripture.
As children of God we are aliens and pilgrims in this world. We are in it but not of it. We must not confuse our identy and think that we are citizens of this world. We belong to God as His children. And we are greatly loved by Him!
To be a child of GOD is indeed an honor my friend....and if GOD be for us that is MORE than the whole world against us....Bless His Name.....Ain't nobody mad but the devil ;o)

Brother Steve, There's people that claim to know Jesus, that haven't come to the understanding that they don't have to be the devil's doormat. I remember a dear lady that testified, how that the devil's rode her all week long. I just wondered to myself not out loud, who put on the saddle for him to ride you? The Devil knows his time is short and he's come down to steal, kill and destroy. Paul warned us not to give place to the devil.
