| Till he shows us mercy |

123:2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the LORD our God, till he have mercy upon us.
Guess I’m not as smart as I thought. I had to be reminded yesterday (by God’s word) that I am in debt to God for all the mercy he has shown me. He’s reminded me before, and I’m sure he’ll remind me again. He ought to remind me daily. That’s how great his mercy is, and that’s how dependent I am on it.
His mercy motivates me. His mercy has changed me from the inside. His mercy has saved me! His mercy quenches the very thirst of the soul!
God is merciful (mercy-FULL) – Deut. 4:31, Neh. 9:31, Dan. 9:9, Luke 1:78, Rom. 15:9, Eph. 2:4, 1 Pet. 1:3… If God is infinite, imagine all that mercy!! In fact, mercy is WHO HE IS, not what he does. His mercy is one of my favorite qualities, a BIG reason I love him! God is worthy to be adored, isn’t he???
Because of his mercy, I know God.
Because of his mercy, I seek him in the morning.
Because of his mercy, I recognize the need to forgive all who offend me.
Because of his mercy, I strive to live according to his will (not mine).
Because of his mercy, I know the need for prayer.
Because of his mercy, I’m alive and healthy.
Because of his mercy, I have a precious family.
Because of his mercy, (on and on and on and on).
Of course, I’m not finished receiving mercy from God. I’m on his mercy installment plan! More each day! And finally, when this life is over and I find myself standing in the presence of the Judge, I will receive the final installment, and the biggest too, no doubt! A lump sum of mercy!
Is there any one of us silly humans that doesn’t need, doesn’t owe our LIFE, to God’s mercy, freely offered, and generously given???

Thanks be unto Him that His mercy is new everyday. And God has never let me down, event though it takes me a while to see that sometimes. He is worthy to be praised. I took a spiritual gift test once, and didn't do well in the mercy department. Have tried to work on it ever since. Praise God for His unending mercy! |

| I was beaten by some thugs over 10 dollars. When they stopped, did I leave? No. Angrily, I got up, voiced my displeasure (which I did nonstop while the beating took place) and demanded they return. They did. I got another beat down. I was not shot, cut, or lost even a drop of blood. I wasn't saved and the language I used was profane. There was so much mercy God covered me with, just from that I should've been dead. Instead, 21 years later, He saved me...again. This time it was my soul. |

I wish I could star this a million times... Thank you for the genal reminder, that everyone needs mercy, not that I haven't givin it but some things are going on with my grandchildren I am concerned about and worried about... They need prayer because I think they are going to have some sort of food problems if the dad don't open his eyes to what his girlfriend is doing... she looks on the outside of people and not then inside... their are other things that are going on and my son has closed eyes to this, please pray about this...... I have been so upset that I have not given much mercy to her inwardly... I have not been outward, about it to her... God is in control and I have to be quiet to see what He wants me to do... My grandson is devolping fears about what you put his plate and to talk to me because he isn't sure if it is back talk... and he feels like he is fat and that he can't talk to his dad... he get yelled at for asking if he crys there is no comfort he is sent to his room... he hate living there and he is worried because she is quiting work and he feels she'll even have more control.... I tryed talking to his dad alittle bit but it's like talking to a wall... when I calm down I will go to her... but in my heart I havent given much mercy... please pray for this. |
