| Follow the Spirit's Lead |

1:21 because no prophecy ever came by the impulse of man, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. Sit in any coffee shop and you discover how many people believe they are prophets. They tell you what is wrong with everything and what is going to happen next. We generally take a pass on their prophecies. It is this street level prophecy that makes discerning the Spirit's voice more of a challenge. The Holy Spirit does not work through the impulse of man. That means emotion, exultation and inspiration while exhilirating are not the venues for His revelations. It is when we touch the Word of God to the process of our live that the spark of prophecy is engaged. It is not expostion but the connection that occurs we never imagined. It is the experience of seeing His will and demands clearly in our lives. There is little doubt when God is speaking in your life. But there is resistance that over time dulls the reception of His leading. There are things in your life that God has addressed and you know what you need to do. The question is: Will you? God can move you if you are willing to obey. Follow His lead today. Michael. |
