3:19 And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. Adam and Eve tried to cover up their sin and hide from God. When Christ, the Light, came into the world, men loved their darkness more than Him. Why? Because He brought their evil deeds to light.
Keeping our evil thoughts and deeds in darkness is denial. We try to hide reality from ourselves and from each other. However, nothing is really hidden. Our every thought and deed is exposed to God. He always knows the truth.
Hiding in darkness is futile. Come out. Come clean. Be real. Prodigal, let the Father's love embrace you.
