| Lately I've been feeling useless, I see and read about so many hurts in the world and question why. Sometimes it's hard to rejoice when there's nothing you can do but pray. Especially when you don't see an answer. Still, I trust him. |

Yes b/c it's HIS power, not ours. I always cringe when I hear that Scripture about "these signs shall follow those who believe in My name..." and then Jesus goes on to list all sorts of stuff like above, that most of us are not walking in. Blah. |

| The hurts of this world have been since the first fall, ongoing throughout every generation without fail. They are the same today as in old, and will continue until it's determined time. People dying of sickness, genocide, suicide, people suffering under others etc. has not changed. Wickedness has been given authority to be here and to torment. We should count every trial as joy, for each one brings us closer to our Lord and Savior. Those we should lament over are those without Christ, for they are the true sufferers. I suggest if your feeling useless, to not look for the long term outcome, that may never be shown to you. Today is the day that the Lord has made. Go out and rejoice in it. Share your smile, a simple "bless you" any gesture of kindness that you are led to do. I can share my friends testimony. Briefly: My friend made a kind gesture and spoke a few words in love to a stranger. A man he did not know. The ensuing conversation was to bring glory to God. Sometime after, a woman tracked him down with tears in her eyes and shared that the man he had spoken those kind words to was her husband. He had intended to commit suicide that very day before my friend spoke to him and as a direct result of my friends obedience to the Holy spirit, in it's prodding him to speak to that man on that day at that time, that man did not kill himself. She thanked him and thanked him and thanked him. Yes, this testimony did offer an end result, but this is not the norm as we all know. You will never know how many people you touch till you get Home! Don't stop touching! |
