If you have been around infants, whether children of your own, or have held someone elses, one of the first things you hear is "keep their head up", because infants don't have control over all their muscels yet. Andrew is 5 years old now and learning how to swim, and here we are again keeping his head above water so that he doesn't drown (we took our eyes off him for one second and he hit his head on the side of the pool, but that's another sermon) What a blessing to know that God is always by our side lifting up our heads. I'm not talking about monday morning when its time to go to work. I'm talking about grief stricken head lifting. I'm talking about when you have turned the corner and out of no where your in the midst of a battle, and the Lord, your exceedingly great reward and shield is right there lifting your head, keeping you above water so you wont drown, or bump your head...and thank you Jesus for not being like us in that God never for one second will ever take His eyes off of you! I think one of the greatest descriptions of God's love for us is the story by the unknown author "FOOTPRINTS"
