| Making Beautiful Music |

3:12 Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, and patience, 3:13 forbearing one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. 3:14 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. We measure any musical group by their harmony or lack of it. Failure is usually the result of poor skills or little practice. Harmony comes from hours of singing the same song and practicing the same notes. It is no different for our church family. Sunday morning is not enough to bring about the harmony we seek. Only when we share enough life and Lord do we begin to play the same notes.
But it all begins with a few sour notes. We can't become better until we can live with the bitter. Don't be so quick to judge each other. Make allowances for lack of skills or meager practice in the Christian walk. Let love win out and in time and enough life, you will find yourself making beautiful music together. Pray for your church family today. Michael. |
