| The Last Day |

17:31 because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed, and of this he has given assurance to all men by raising him from the dead." Don't you hate it when someone tells you they know something but they can't tell you what it is? They peek our interest and then go on. Some feel the same way about the day of judgment set by our Lord. They want to know when but God makes it clear that the day is known only to Him. So why tell us? To peek our curiosity? to remind us how little we know?
God is not like man who teases and holds things back. God makes it clear that He will choose that day when He decides. He bases that authority on His power of resurrection. The fact is that God may choose that day any day He wants. God is not like us. He has the power to choose when. He is not limited to a set date like we would be. Don't get caught in the game of trying to guess when. God will decide that when He wants. What He wants us to do now is turn to His Son who will be our judge. The day we go to court is never as important as what happens in that court. Trust Him to choose the right day. Michael |
