AMEN To this.  I do Know Him and I love Him.  It is an Honor to be a greater witness for God.

Wow--I'm not the 35th comment! lol! Seriously though--I love this--and I've been thinking about this alot lately. I love that you pointed out that we can radiate His character, because that alone is what pierces through the darkness around us. We can shine when we stay in His presence long enough to take on His attributes.

Mmmmm, yes! This is the right Spirit. Some will say, just as they said to My Father, that this is blasphemy, but I and My Father are one. What I have said is not of myself, but what My Father has given me. When they see us, they have seen Him. Oh man... you got it right Mike. Love ya, Man of God!

For we see Jesus enthroned on high
Clothed in His righteousness, we worship Him
Glory and honour we give unto You
We see You in Your holiness
And bow before Your throne
You are the Lord
Your name endures forever
Jesus the Name high over all

Always a good word! If I may, I'll go into English teacher mode again. In the epics, the heroes often seemed bragadocious as they listed all their great accomplishments and deeds. The term for this is flyting and they weren't being conceited or bragadocious at all. What they were doing was giving their resume: "I'm qualified to do this because of this, this and this," because of what I've proven in the past. Jesus could indeed speak with confidence--He was the ONLY ONE to have seen the Father; He was the ONLY spotless Lamb--but He has brought us into the family, hasn't He? He has qualified us to display His attributes! What an amazing Lord we serve!

Wow, I like the word "bragadocious".... Maybe I'll replace "pride" in the blog with it. It is good to have an English teacher around!! :-)  And you make great points Bev, Jesus was qualified, and his qualifications bring US comfort and assurance!

Birdie, you are officially #2 :-P

Preston, thanks for sharing your thoughts :-) For me it is a matter of beating down my impulse to assert myself, in order that the character of Jesus, spiritually embodied by the Holy Spirit, might be seen instead. Man that's tough!!!

Living epistles, I LIKE that brother Herman!

Cece, it's easy to forget! The Holy Spirit is suble, polite, never forces himself upon us.

Pandabear, you are such a blessing!

Crystal, it does indeed!!

Great word Mike, Someone once gave me the biggest compliment of my entire life! They simply said "I can see Jesus in you", I was intoxicated by that statement and could have flown over the white cliffs of Dover. Of course I didnt see it myself but thats the point, We are often seen in a different light by others. I am striving to be seen in HIS light, not by might nor my own strength but by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Love Stu.

How cool is that !!!!  Our Father in heaven knows us so well that even in the womb- HE KNEW us :0)  Even more exciting is that we get to journey our lives in going with confidence that we KNOW HIM!  We are truly blessed beyond measure.

He is in us.  Are we allowing His glory to be revealed through us?  Or are we choosing self, (self-ish ways & self-ish responses), over Him?

No problem with the point.  Wouldn't be wornderful for people to see Christ in us?
Just be careful, God was not just in Jesus Christ reconciling the world to Himself, but Jesus is God.  He laid aside His glory and the word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory full of grace and truth.   Be blessed man of God!
