Jesus told his disciples that we must abide in Him. We must remain in Him. It is not enough to be around Christ or near Christ. We are invited to be in Christ.
When you are in Christ, you go where He goes and you do what He does. You have given up your will to decide for yourself.
It is like being in an airplane. If you are in a plane you go where it goes and you do what it does. If the plane bounces, you bounce with it. If it slows down, you slow down.
Oh, how we need to be in Christ. And not just now and then. We need to be in Christ 24/7.
Absolutely, yes! Furthering your metaphor, I hate the bumper sticker that reads, "God is my co-pilot." No, He is my pilot. On my own I'll crash the plane, I prefer to trust Him and all His wonderous ways.
yEAH, AND TRUE MY BROTHER IN cHRIST; We must be in Christ not On christ or around christ. Remember sleeping in a garage, does not mean u're a car too. Confessing that Jesus is lord, or going to church daily. Carrying the bible, preaching da gosple does not mean u're in christ" Its very easy to do all this, but when u're around him" God bless u dear man of faith.Love this.. Lets be in Christ not On him..good word .
