Glad you're back, sister. Your words and spirit are cherished by those with whom you interact, here and elsewhere. I just don't see how you can bless others with your spirit while you're "rubbing them out" in a simulated mafia war. lol

Time to repent..... I think this is the reason why we have the story of two brothers in the Bible..... You go out in to the world and repent and come back to the home of the Father (MyChurch)....

Welcome back!!

There's quite a few people on MC that are hooked-up playing Mafia Wars on Facebook, but I for one will not do it.  And like you've said Joey, this has only happened over these past couple of months - which has run in directly alignment with the change.  They'll log on to see what's happening, but as far as blogging and commenting goes (fill in the blank), and I get more comments via Facebook than I do via MC.  Sorry to put it that way, but that's the way it is.

It was funny to see my buddies here get to be so....ah, ruthless! LOL. I for one started feeling not so much that I was sinning by playing, but by playing so much! However, it was cool having the ability to instant message Joey and others (what a hoot!) while rubbin' the rival gangs out! lolrorloflfroflolf, I mean, we were like sending weapons in the name of love to serve each other!! lollroflorlforlfl! Seriously, it was a time consuming game which is all the little devil has to do to get us off our real game! Amen?

One other thing, there are other games that are just as bad (yes, I did them, too). Farm Town, Barn Buddy, My Café, Farmville, and Sorority Life (no, I did Not go there!)
The Talking Mule
October 15, 2009
Oops, I hit comment before I was through! lol. But those games all involve getting rewards for playing that allow you to get to a higher level and to brag about it. It also involves a way to combat one another, even to be the top chick in a sorority sister fight!!! It is silly but can be very distracting and consuming, why, I couldn't just leave poor Joey defenseless! She was a little mobster while I had attained Mob Boss status (just a little bragging, but she did win a lot more fights than me). We both repented with dust and ashes and quit the scene and walked away together at the same time. There is strength in numbers, two is better than one. I for one, am glad she is back and refreshed, ready to live to be a blessing for us here! I personally started missing my mule pic's! Amen, and Joey, I love you, girl. Now, when I say hit me with your best shot, I know it'll be a cool blog and not a wacked out gangster weapon that snuffs me out of the fun! lol...surely that would not have happened, but it is part of the game that encourages backstabbing to get ahead. You know, I bet some real feelings got hurt by that pretend game. That is the real sad thing about it. I for one, don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but to lift them up. I guess it ain't so silly sometimes.

Hi Joey,

I'm a Farmville addict.   Do not feel alone in your addiction to internet games...  I have been missing in action because of personal issues but also because I can get lost in the games.....

You can get caught up in them however we know who truly loves us and has given us a chance at REAL LIFE.  I'm back too  sweetie.   Love ya

I know quiet a few people who are also addicted to it. I couldn't get into it cause it was generally just a violent game at least to me it is. I am praying that there will be less addictions of that game and others on there. I only have 4 that I play on there & I am not addicted to them at all.

Joey,
May I be honest with you?  What you have do is a good thing.  You will have to fight and resist the temptation to go back.  I have never understood how a Christian would enjoy stealing, robbing, and mugging etc...it is contrary to what we believe and stand for. I accepted an invitiation and quit on the first round as they made me go mug someone and steal from them.  I just could not do it even if it was a virtual make believe game. We need to be careful.  Mafia Wars, World of War Craft, Evony etc... all can become destructive and controling if given too much time to them. Especially destructive to your spiritual life. Anyway, good job and God bless you in your decision!

Joey, you came back just in time, that is just like God to be right on time and in time, we have a real war to fight here, and now that you have warring skills let's put them to good use, it is wonderful to have you back, you can't just keep leaving us chiren out here by us selves.

And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

Mike... I was thinking about it, and I was really addicted to it.  Honestly, it was sort of relaxing, and I had fun chatting with Mule, then...  I became really competitive.

my FB friends are probably frustrated that e'time they send me some msg about Farmtown or Yo'ville or the like that i ignore it but i don't care about all that. like i posted before - i'd rather be talking about the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. That's what's great about this site. Joey, I encourage you to get in The Word - there's love, hope, joy and comfort there. God Bless and welcome back!

You trippin' me, Lara! We got the Real God Father, or is it Father God? Anyway, Joey is right. You get caught up in winning. You want to be a Boss, have a big farm, or the top racer, chick, or restrant owner. It is feeding our natural desire to win. Be on top. Some games just take up time, others encourage battling each other. We don't ever see a game of giving to someone out of what we have and putting them first. Wonder why?

ps...just read the biggest game in the world is farmville with over 56 million players. More than any game ever sold. Plus, they are adding new players every day. I quit that one, too. Just a thought, if people are playing all these games, will anyone notice anything else?

LOL I have been the same way with Farmtown on Facebook.... I even got all my friends and family involved... I even turned my friends out "Pimped" in the marketplace to "hoe" in other peoples farms.... LOL I honestly like it cause it's an escape but as long as it is not number 1 in my life.... God is... I can have a number 4 or 5 or 20 God just has to be number 1.... It's not that big of a deal...
