| Preaching Christ and him Crucified |

2 Corinthians 2:2 For i determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him Crucified.
Today in our pulpits we often hear preaching on Prosperity" and "worship", and although this is good im afraid that sometime we are leading people to understand the wrong thing about church and the mandate that Christ has set out for us.
The great commision tells us To go out into all the world and teach , baptize , in the name of the Father and of the son and of the Holy Ghost , teaching them to observe all things- This my friends was the mandate!
If we are going to preach on worship let us be sure to teach that it means we as Christians are to enter to worship but let us also tell them we exit to serve.
If we are going to preach on prosperity, let us preach that prosperity means more than material things!
(Remember) if we preach to the unsaved that they will be prosperous, and not tell them that it is not just things we will run the risk of losing them for eternity! |
