Jesus said, "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished" (Matthew 5:17-18). Law . . . sin . . . hopelessness. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). There's no way for me to live without breaking the Law. My greatest attempts only turn into legalism. But Jesus Christ did it for me--the Spotless Lamb completely fulfilled the Law and the Prophets, copied the key to heaven, and handed me one. Hallelujah! Jesus turned my disaster into Victory! 5:17 "Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfil them. |
