15:5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. 15:6 And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness. God has a conversation with a man ( Abraham ) with no children at the age of 75 about all the children that he will have. Here's where most would say something on the dumb side like God are you kidding me. God I'm an old man and my wife is an old woman, but not Abraham. He believed in the Lord, Abraham knew when God spoke that it would come to pass. Abraham had a relationship with God that before destroying sinful Sodom and Gomorrah, God revealed his plan to Abraham. Abraham's nephew Lot had moved into the region of Sodom, Abraham felt that Lot would be a positive influence on these sinful people. Truth was no righteous people, lived in this sinful region, Lot's own family was influenced by the filth in Sodom, read about his wife and daughters after the angels forced them out of the city. Back to Abraham, he was considered a righteous man because he believed.
15:13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land [that is] not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years; 15:14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance. God reveals some fore knowledge to Abraham about what lies ahead for his promised seed. God foretells of Israel being in captivity in Egypt for a period of 430 years. God knows the end from the beginning, it must be noted that we serve, a God that is all knowing.
2:23 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage. 2:24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. 2:25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto [them]. Let's fast forward into the time of suffering and being servants to the king of Egypt. They cried out to God actually they groaned, this was some deep hurting. God remembered his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God had respect unto the Children of Israel, that has not changed. Those that have the mind set to destroy the Children of Israel will experience the wrath of almighty God, with or without the United States blessing.
12:41 And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt. Here's the fact that we self an on time God, even on the self same day the Children of Israel went out from the land of Egypt. Just like the Lord promised Abraham, God fulfilled his word, God's word will not return unto him void. He may not come when you want him too, but he'll be there right on time. He's an on time God, yes he is. |
