Pastor preached how natural law was suspended for this miracle of bringing the axe head back up out of the water. He said the stick could represent the cross that Elisha threw into threw into the water or the branch from Jesse representing the raising up or resurrrection type. The only thing different that stuck out to me is that the axe head was not belonging but borrrowed by the servant. The servant calls Elisha master.

When my sons died,repeatedly I heard from folks that our children are not our own, but loaned to us or we have borrowed them by God (our Master as we are his servants) and He suspends natural laws to resurrect them and take them to Himself.

When Landon died, my friend, Yolander (yep that is her name) sang the following song at his funeral, called Fear not my child (I know how to take care of what belongs to me).
