| Because I Love Them |

An old fable tells of Jesus and the Devil having a conversation. Jesus asked the Devil what would you take for me to save my people. The Devil says, "Why would you want them. They will only despise you, spit on you, humiliate you, and finally kill you. Why would you want them?" Jesus persist...."What would you take for them?"
Finally the Devil gives in. He tells Jesus it will cost him all his tears and blood. Jesus does not hesitate. Done deal he says. "Just tell me why you will do that for them," the Devil continues to poke. Because Jesus says....Because what the Devil is confused. "Because," Jesus says with a tear in His eye: "Because I love them!" Love really is the bottom line. It is the one thing for which we will always be indebted for. By this Jesus said you will know they belong to me if they have love one for the other. Love to all!
