Do you feel like your swimming in a small pond???
Some days are a reminder that perhaps you should have stayed in bed! Throughout the day crisis after crisis repeating a sounding alarm that nothing is going right. You are sweltering from the heat of the day, and yet you have to rush out into the heat to run errands that have been piling up!Traffic, gas prices and even the google directions to unknown territories can't help you much! Pressing on, you deal with your attitude along the way, as each task gets done, a sigh of relief tells you that you're getting things accomplished! But just then, as you find your ability to rejoice, you find yourself lost, and the gas light is blinking again!!! You pull into a gas station and dispense yet another $10 worth of gas, seems you are supporting their outrageous prices throughly! Then you ask everyone in the store where to get where you are going!!! That will deal with your pride! As you leave a station for the second time in a long day's journey, you are just thankful to be in a cool car. Now the day's errands done, you get home and find your air-conditioning in the house is really not coping with the 105 degree temps. I was already sweating just doing the dishes I left in the morning. With all this on my mind, all the good, the bad, and the indifference of the day,I was feeling bewildered!!!! I felt like a fish swimming in a small pond!!! If you know anything about a pond, fish really do multiply and expand in a small contained pond with great larvae. In my life, I guess you could say alot of larvae and God has cleared the path so I can swim freely, each and everytime I am "trapped ", by the events and situations around me. He is the Great Fisher of Men!!! Even when my "pond", seems small, I can flurish in my walk by trusting him and by putting faith in areas of my life that need it most. Are you in a small pond??? Or have the larvae taken over??? Wait God will pour you into another and you grow!!!!!
4:18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. 4:20 And they straightway left [their] nets, and followed him. 4:21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James [the son] of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them. |
