Today's scripture verse (Mark 16/16) Are the signs following you?

Are the signs following you?

16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

This morning I woke up with a thought, and I decided to look back on my life since I was "bought".

In the "good book". Mark told me that me that "five signs" will follow me.  I realize that this is true in "my journey".  I must have passed the tests.  I see Goodness and Mercy following me and I've had many a Victory. 
 
I only asked for "Peace" and for this I paid a very heavy price, but the end result is ohhhh...... so nice.

Well I just thought I would remind the rest of you, to look into your life. "Are The Five Signs Following You"?  If not, would you stop and ask Jesus what you should do? 

Thank you Jesus, for the help you sent along.  Please do not forget those out there, they have waited and waited ohhhhh so long.

Mark chapter 16 verses 15 thru 20......And He (Jesus), said unto them, God ye into all the world, and preach the gospel (good news) to every creature, He that BELIEVETH and is BAPTIZED MEANING IMMERSED IN THE WORD AND FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT, shall be saved; but he that BELIEVETH NOT SHALL BE DAMNED.  And these SIGNS SHALL follow them that BELIEVE;  (1)  In My Name shall they CAST OUT DEVILS;  (2) they shall speak with NEW TONGUES meaning (A HEAVENLY LANGUAGE GIVEN TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT, FOR GOD IS SPIRIT,  AND TO COMMUNICATE TO OTHERS OF DIFFERENT LANGUAGES TO DRAW THEM TO CHRIST).(3) They shall take up serpents meaning (THEY WILL RECEIVE POWER FROM THE HOLY SPIRIT TO DEFEAT THE ENEMY)  (4)  If  they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them meaning (NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST A CHILD OF GOD WILL PROSPER).  (5)  they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven and sat on the right hand of God.  And they went forth, and preached every where, THE LORD WORKING WITH THEM, AND  CONFIRMING THE WORD WITH SIGNS FOLLOWING, AMEN. 

All of these signs followed the deciples and they have not stopped. I can attest to that.   I will say the signs will never stop following the believer.  It is the same HOLY SPIRIT who were in the desciples that is in all BELIEVERS TODAY.

Funny, I always thought "They shall take up serpents" meant...they would pick up snakes! :-)

Actually I believe a far better list of outward manifestations (or "signs") of the inner working of the Holy Spirit are the "fruits of the Holy Spirit" given by Paul in Gal. 5:22-23. They are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. These seem to be far more widely applicable to the universal body of Christ. He contrasts these with the acts of the sinful nature, the outworkings of someone not influenced by the Holy Spirit's indwelling.

Well my friend Mike, I can only say I love the gifts, signs and fruits.  It all comes as part and parcel of the body of Jesus Christ when one is filled with His Holy Spirit, and they are all used to glorify Jesus Christ, so that no one can boast.  However, Jesus did specify the "signs" will follow all believers as they did in the book of Acts.
