God's sheep are hearers. They actually hear His voice. They are not just following religion, doctrine, tradition, theology, a pastor, a TV prosperity promoter, or a denomination. Christians are followers of the living Jesus.
Jesus is not silent. He is still speaking. Christians agree that He speaks through the Bible. However, He also speaks directly to the human heart. If we are not hearing, it isn't because Jesus isn't speaking. It is because we are not listening. We are not focusing our attention on Him. We are not looking (and listening) unto Jesus.
If a sheep doesn't hear a peep from Jesus, is he really a sheep, or is he just claiming to be a sheep? Jesus clearly says that "My sheep hear my voice." That doesn't leave much room for unhearing sheep.
Powerful blog Brother Steve...(smile)....And you are soooo right...Gods sheep should hear at least .... a peep. It is His Voice that we adhere to, and not religion..or the traditions of men ;o)
Brother Steve, There's a new name for those sheeples that follow the name it and claim bunch. You're not right with God unless you bring your offering into the TBN beg a thon. Paul and Jan needs some help paying the million plus dollars a month to keep their satelittes in orbit.
