Do we stand on the Gospel or on some cute saying?15:1 Now I would remind you, brethren, in what terms I preached to you the gospel, which you received, in which you stand, In Mark 1:1 we read: "The beginning of the gospel about Jesus Christ, the Son of God." Here is why the first four books of the Bible are called the Gospels. The Gospel is not a cute saying, or quick summary learned from a tract. It is best expressed in the four teaching biographies of our Lord and Savior - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. |
