Ah, but THIS is one of MY favorites....

22This is why "it was credited to him as righteousness." 23The words "it was credited to him" were written not for him alone, 24but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.

Lookie there! I AM righteous! (And so are YOU if you but BELIEVE...)

I guess we could all attempt to make a case for our own righteousness. But if we really were righteous, we wouldn't need a Savior, would we?

The Q: How righteous is Obama?

I think he thinks he's righteous. One can't hold onto liberal beliefs and think he's wrong about them--correction-- he's an ultra liberal.

I believe that we (who 'were' once unrighteous but are now righteous thru Christ) should judge the character, intents and actions of the people around us specially those who can/do hold influence on us and our family.

The question should be: How righteous are the actions, intents & character/s of Obama, gay people, drinkers, non-church goers, Methodist, Baptists, Mother Theresa?  In other words, which of the above would you prefer to teach in your 1st grade Sunday school class?

The Bible says in Isaiah that "our righteousness is of filthy rags" On our own we ar like filthy rags. His righteousness was imputed to us when we became a believer and he took on our sin on the cross. He traded us.

Thank you Dave. I wasn't intending for this to be yet another "Christian" judgmental session of Obama. I prefer to leave that to Jesus and judgment day. He was just the example to make the point in the verse. Sandy, what an excellent verse to use to illustrate Romans 3:10.

Amen, Dave!  On a positive note, I rec'd this in an e-mail titled "Obama hears the Gospel"
