| The Sunday After-Church Crowd |
|
| |
Wait staff at restaurants often tell the story of the after-church crowd on a Sunday. In some restaurants, Sunday after-church is seen as the worst shift to work. The after-church crowd is rude to wait staff and leaves the most stingy tips or none at all. Wow! What an indictment! Let's change this awful testimony. Fellow Christian, let's be the most polite and helpful customers to weary wait staff, and let's make it a quest to leave the best tips of all. 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. |

[star!] | Grant, totally agree with you. We should be the ones they like to see come through the doors.
I look at folks in the restaurant business as the ultimate servers. They serve whoever is put at their tables. They have a servants heart. Doesn't mean they don't get tired and have attitudes at times, but for the most part, they are servants that are eager to serve. Oh, we can learn so much by walking in their shoes for a short distance. |

[star!] | My tips do tend to increase on Sundays (lol). I've heard this indictment before and have determined not to help perpetuate it! |

| You mean ordinary people like you and me? Of course we wouldn't be so rude, would we? That must be those other Christians. LOL |

| i'm afraid, Ian, that this is the picture of the average Christian these days - sad. So maybe when you have time you could add a blog about why people should want to become fellow Church members with them. |

| Don't sound very Christ-like does it. The old golden rule should apply to eating out, doing unto others as you would have them do unto you. Tips sometimes are measured by the service one gets, good service good tips. Going to church don't make you a christian no more than going to Mcdonald's makes you a hamburger. |

| Word love, I think it has been the case since the days of Paul that we do what we would not and don't do what we want. The flesh strives against the spirit and wins too often. That's why Jesus is our Savior and none of our deeds.Jimmy I think we should often tip to encourage, even after poor service. But, your point is well taken. |
