2:19Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner [stone]; We as the body of Christ are built on something, we have a foundation. That's the underneath part of a building that you can't physically see most of the time. Jesus spoke of a wise man building on a rock or a solid foundation verses building on sand. The rains came and washed away the sand foundation, an great was the fall of the house that was built thereon. The rock foundation took the beating of the storms, the winds and all that the elements could throw at it and stood firm. This body of believers was built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets, not to mention that Jesus is the chief corner stone. Here is where the strength of the building is center, because the building is built around this corner stone. Our strength as the body of Christ comes from Jesus, our lives should be built around him. Building on "a man" can also be a shaky foundations, what if, he backslides, or dies an all your faith is wrapped up in the arm of flesh?
3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Paul touches on what a christian should be built on that is Jesus. The church with Christ as it's foundation will endure every trial and every test regardless of their magnitude. Even the gates of an ever expanding Hell will not prevail against this church.
11:3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? What can the righteous do? Is the foundations of America's society crumbling right before your eyes? What happens to the foundations when morality is discarded like a piece of trash? Same sex marriages are becoming more accepted even through the Bible has not changed calling these unions sin. What can the righteous do when the laws change that makes it against the law to preach against this sin?
6:1 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. 6:2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. This is what needs to happen for God to revive us again. Let us return unto the Lord, God has the answers to our dilemma not the president, nor the congress not your physic friend.God is still the healer, God is still capable of restoring those that will come in repentance unto him. God will also tear us and smite us, if we reject the calling of the Holy Spirit. Wake up America, We are about to be judged for the sins of abortion and homosexuality. We have destroyed the foundations by electing godless people to rule over us, that fear not the Lord God.
