| My Tea Parable |

I rarely get far into my day before brewing a cup of tea in an old coffee maker. It burps and spits out a barley drinkable fluid. Over the years though I have learned a great deal about my journey with Christ from this little machine. Like the maker all of us only produce something valuable when we are plugged into a power source. For the maker it is electricity, for us it is our maker. Proverbs 3:6
3:6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
A really great cup of tea can only be made with clean, pure water anything else taints the final product, the same can be said when we perform good deeds if our motives are not pure the final product is tainted.
When water is filtered through the bag it becomes something different altogether , much like we become something different and better when Jesus filters us. And just as no two cups of tea are the same no two Christians are the same, we are shaped by are experiences, don’t fear our differences celebrate them.
From Patrick a servant of God chosen to be an apostle of Jesus Christ. |
