My family and I are happy to announce that my sister Holly is finally going to the National Guard. But her going to the National Guard isn't the most awesome part about it. The most awesome part is the process of how she got in. It all started about 3 weeks ago. We filled out the papers she passed the physical, but the only thing that was holding her back was her blood pressure. It was always too high. To go into the National Guard you have to have 3 good blood pressures to get in. For the past 2 weeks my sister has had her blood pressure taken and it was always high. Her last chance to get in was today. She "knew" that she wasn't getting in so she didnt really care but she prayed and told God that if this was the right thing for her to do let her go, but if it wasnt that was ok and she would go back to college and study to be a pysical therapist. But my mom got a text message at 9:30 showing her first low blood pressure. Then an hour later my mom got another text showing her second good blood pressure. It all came down to the last and final blood pressure if she would get in or not.. At 11:45 my sister sent a text message to my mom and me showing the last and final blood pressure, it was also low! She told us she had made it into the National Guard! We were both excited, but i couldn't show it because i was in the middle of school, and we aren't allowed to have our cell phones in class. :) But it just shows people that miracles truly do happen! |
