| What Is Wrong With People? |

I saw last night on Nancy Grace show a mother and grandmother severely beating her 10 year old son in Walmart. People called 911, the store's policy was not to interfere, people took pictures, but no one tried to help the child! I don't get it.
Last summer I was in the grocery store, which was packed. 2 checkouts over I heard cursing & screaming. I walked over and a woman customer was over the counter beating the clerk. There were 4 men in that line just watching. I yelled at the woman to stop, what are you doing and she took off running. I then told those men they should be ashamed of themselves.
I am no physical fighter by a long shot, but cannot stand by and do nothing.
What would you do?

| I watched the same show last night. I would definitely intervene, and have before. I would want someone to help me, or my parents, or my child if they were in a situation like that! |

Val,
I guess people are afraid. What get's me is that the child was taken away from her when he was 5 because of abuse and was given back. Something is wrong with our system. |

Spiritually, I know what kind of spirit is involved. I ministered at the juvenile prison for 12 years and had to learn quick to identify and have discernment. This just confirms we are real soon to the coming of Jesus.

The world is a very dangeous place, Shelle,
I too have seen extremely violent gang fights and murders. I have seem domestic violent between husbands and wives; brothers and sisters. What is wrong with people is their SIN nature breaking out to express itself in the worse way, VIOLENCE and HATRED.
What is wrong withmany BY-Standers is FEAR. Many people fear getting hurt; they fear getting involved; they fear for their own families and friends; they fear the effects of Evi and will not do anythng about it.
This fear also reveals the lack of love for ones neighbors. Some people fear reaching out to others because of selfishness that resides in the heart.
Some of us will not give the time of day to help others because of our busy schedules. It turns out that many of us have not true love for our neigbors. We would rather tolerate the evil than to help by getting involve put an end to it all.
As I was writing this, I am reminded of the following passages of Scriptures:
4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
So, what is wrong with people? People in general have not true love for God; and thus, have no love for their neighbors.
