12:28 And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, then healers, helpers, administrators, speakers in various kinds of tongues. Currently My weekends consist of Wednesdays and Thursdays. So after getting up wednesday I went to prayer meeting which turned out to be considerably different than what I expected. The Lord had a word for a lot of the folks including me. I'm still getting used to the idea of prayer being 2 way communication.
There were only a couple of people there that I knew at all, but one of the associate pastors told me he felt God was telling him to tell me that it was time for me to step up to something, another lady was telling me that God was going to be removing some bricks from my foundation and replacing them with his bricks. another lady was telling me that there was a protective shell that I was maintaining around myself (fear I assume as I've never been one for opening up).
There of course was a lot of word from god for the others who were there also. Generally these are supposed to be corporate prayer meetings for prayer request, but I guess a lot of prophesy broke out. All in all this was a new experience. What exactly I think of it I don't know but think I need to stay open to what God's doing. I felt a closeness with God that I haven't felt before and I know when I've been praying and spending time in the word at home I keep feeling like God really plans on raining down his spirit on us.
I really felt like for a long time as I struggled to develop a relationship with Christ he was often telling me that if I wasn't going to obey him and quit smoking he wasn't going to go to the next level. Since I set the cigarettes down things have moved pretty fast. Of course my system is still adjusting to the lack of nicotine in my system so maybe I'm just plain going nuts.
Oh well these are just some of my recent experiences. what can I say I'll continue to pray, meditate on the word, and hopefully obey the word I get. Sometimes I get a little lonely being single I talk to my dog on occasion, but sometimes I'm afraid he'll start answering me. Oh well I guess that'll be for another BLOG.
22:28 Then the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said to Balaam, "What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?" 22:29 And Balaam said to the ass, "Because you have made sport of me. I wish I had a sword in my hand, for then I would kill you." 22:30 And the ass said to Balaam, "Am I not your ass, upon which you have ridden all your life long to this day? Was I ever accustomed to do so to you?" And he said, "No."
